Glazes and Body Stain in Powder Form
These stains can be used to add colour to white and transparent glazes and to slips to produce engobes and coloured bodies. They can also be applied to an unfired glaze surface.
Suggested concentrations are 5% for glazes and 10% for slips. The amount required and the final colours will be dependent upon the glaze or body used and the firing temperature.
IMPORTANT - Remember thorough mixing and sieving is required to avoid specking.
Maximum Firing Temperature - 1280°C
