This body is a blend of selected low iron clays which provides an ideal background for a decorative approach to stoneware ceramics. Popular with potters both new and experienced due to its versatility and price. This Stoneware Clay body behaves well on the wheel due to the addition of Silica Sand and is an extremely popular choice for throwers as exceptionally smooth on the pottery wheel. B17C makes a good casting slip. B17C Stoneware is often used by hand-builders for hand-building projects of smaller items.
