Amaco Velvet - Morning Fog - 2oz

Brush on under- glaze in 2fl oz and pints. Firing range 1040 C - 1220 C. Velvet underglazes offer two finish possibilities. When left unglazed they have the appearance of velour or velvet. They will intensify in colour when covered ina clear transparent or gloss glaze. They can be used in detailed work as a Cone 05/06 underglaze or they can be firedup to Cone 6 and maintain their intensity and brightness. The colours can be intermixed to create a pallett of hundreds of colours and can be applied to greenware prior to bisque firing or on to bisque pieces before glazing. Velvets tolerate a wide firing range with a recommended firing temperature being that of the clay used. If left unglazed AmacoVelvets should not be used on surfaces which come in to contact with food or drink. Any dinnerware safe glazes can beused over this range to make them dinnerware safe. Suggested Amaco dinnerware safe glazes are LG-10 or HF9A, HF10A.
